Our FxPro review

Overview

FxPro is a London-headquartered forex and CFD broker whose original operating company, FxPro Financial Services Ltd, was registered in Cyprus on 31 July 2006 and received a Cyprus Investment Firm licence in 2007. Over almost two decades it has built a reputation as a multi-platform, no-dealing-desk style broker, offering MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and its own web and mobile platform side by side.

The firm says it serves clients in more than 170 countries. In October 2026 FxPro agreed to transfer its Cyprus client book to Capital.com, a move it describes as a structural streamlining rather than a retreat, since most of its recent growth has come from outside Europe. More details are on the official FxPro website.

Regulation and safety

FxPro's licences page currently lists three regulated arrangements:

  • FxPro UK Limited – authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference 509956. Eligible clients may be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
  • FxPro Global Markets Limited – regulated by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, licence SIA-F184.
  • Invemonde Trading Ltd – an investment dealer licensed by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (SD120), working in partnership with FxPro Global Markets.

The Cyprus entity, licensed by CySEC since 2007, is the part of the group affected by the planned sale of the European client book to Capital.com. As of late October 2026 the transfer was awaiting CySEC approval, and only clients who pass Capital.com's onboarding checks will move across. EU residents should therefore expect changes to their account provider. FxPro states that its ownership, leadership and UK licence are unaffected. Negative balance protection is offered, and we found no regulatory fines against FxPro in the sources reviewed for this article. Most international clients are served through the Bahamas or Seychelles arrangements, which provide less protection than the FCA.

Fees and costs

FxPro uses a straightforward structure. The Standard account is commission-free, with spreads from 1.2 pips; ForexBrokers.com measured an average EUR/USD spread of about 1.44 pips on this account. The Raw+ and cTrader accounts start at 0.0 pips and charge $3.50 per lot per side ($7 round turn). FxPro's own EUR/USD page lists a recent average cTrader spread of around 0.43 pips plus $0.35 per $10,000 traded per side. There are no FxPro deposit or withdrawal fees, but an inactivity fee applies after six months without trading.

Key figure FxPro
Minimum deposit $100
Typical EUR/USD spread (Standard) About 1.44 pips
Raw+ / cTrader commission $3.50 per lot per side
Maximum leverage 1:30 UK retail; up to 1:200 via the Bahamas entity (third-party data)
Instruments 2,100+ CFDs, 70+ forex pairs

Accounts and products

All main accounts share a $100 minimum deposit. The choice is mostly about pricing and platform: Standard for commission-free trading on MT4, MT5 and the FxPro app, Raw+ for raw spreads on MetaTrader, and the cTrader account for raw spreads on cTrader. An Elite programme rewards larger balances, and swap-free (Islamic) accounts are available on request, with an administrative charge after a grace period.

The product range covers over 2,100 CFDs across eight asset classes, including more than 70 forex pairs, shares, indices, futures, metals, energies, ETFs and crypto CFDs. Leverage follows local rules: 1:30 on major pairs for UK retail clients, with higher dynamic leverage at the Bahamas entity that falls as position size increases.

Platforms and tools

Platform choice is FxPro's standout feature. Traders can use MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and the FxPro web and mobile app, and reviewers also report TradingView integration. cTrader suits traders who want depth-of-market and transparent pricing, while MetaTrader remains the default for expert advisors. Copy trading is possible through the MT5 Signals market and cTrader Copy rather than a proprietary social network.

FxPro does not appear to publish its own EUR/USD feed on TradingView that we could verify, so the generic FX:EURUSD chart is used as a reference. Research and education are relatively light compared with the largest brokers, and ForexBrokers.com noted the absence of live webinars, so newer traders may need to supplement FxPro's materials with outside learning resources.

Deposits and withdrawals

Funding options include bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and region-specific local methods. FxPro does not charge its own deposit or withdrawal fees, though banks and payment providers may. Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto deposits were not supported according to ForexBrokers.com. Dormant accounts are the main cost to watch: after six months without trading, FxPro charges a one-off $15 inactivity fee, followed by $5 per month while the account remains inactive and holds a balance. Traders who plan long breaks may want to withdraw funds first.

Who FxPro suits

  • Traders who want MT4, MT5 and cTrader under one roof.
  • UK clients looking for an FCA-regulated broker with raw pricing.
  • Algorithmic traders using expert advisors or cBots.

It is less suited to EU residents during the Capital.com transition, to US residents (FxPro left the US market years ago), and to traders who want extensive research or a built-in social trading community.

Verdict

FxPro offers competitive raw-spread pricing, a $100 entry point and one of the broadest platform selections in the industry. Its FCA licence anchors its reputation, but most non-UK clients trade through offshore entities, and the sale of its Cyprus client book means its European presence is shrinking. For traders outside the EU who value platform flexibility, it remains a well-established option; just confirm which entity you are joining and what protections apply. CFDs are leveraged products and many retail traders lose money with them.
