Our The5ers review
Overview
The5ers (legal name Five Percent Online Ltd) was founded in 2016 by Gil Ben Hur and is based in Ra'anana, Israel, with Saul Lokier serving as CEO. It predates most of the post-2020 prop boom and built its name on long-horizon growth programmes in which funded traders can scale to very large simulated balances. In 2025 it won a "Best Funded Trading Service" award at the Finance Magnates London Summit, and its founders have also moved into brokerage through a separate Cyprus-regulated CFD brand.
The5ers itself is not a regulated financial firm. Buying a programme means paying for a simulated evaluation and, if successful, receiving a share of simulated profits. Prices quoted here were checked on 5 November 2026 and have changed several times this year.
Programmes
The5ers runs more distinct programmes than most competitors, which gives choice but also means rules differ from product to product:
- High Stakes (2-Step) – the flagship. The "New" version introduced in 2026 sets targets of 10% and 5%; a "Classic" version with 8% and 5% targets is still listed. Smaller accounts carry a 5% daily and 10% maximum loss, while from 15 September 2026 new $50K and $100K purchases use a tighter 4% daily and 8% total loss. Each phase requires three profitable days, and there is no time limit.
- Hyper Growth and Pro Growth (1-Step) – a single 10% target with a 3% daily pause and 6% stop-out, no minimum days and scaling toward a stated $4 million.
- Bootcamp (3-Step) – a low-cost, three-phase route with 6% targets per step, a mandatory stop-loss rule and lower leverage.
- Summer Plan – promotional 1-Step and 2-Step variants with payout caps, extended "until further notice" in October 2026.

| Fee from | $19 ($2.5K) | $74 ($5K Pro Growth) | low entry, activation fee later |
Costs and value
Entry costs are among the lowest in the industry: a $2,500 High Stakes account was listed at $19, a $10K High Stakes at around $69, and $50K/$100K High Stakes New at $249 and $405 after the September 2026 price cut. Hyper Growth is noticeably more expensive per dollar of funding.
The firm offers a 14-day money-back window before trading starts, and High Stakes fees are refunded once funded, although comparison sites disagree on whether that happens with the first or third payout, so confirm it at checkout. Swap-free accounts are available for an extra charge, and accounts left untouched for 30 consecutive days are closed, which is worth remembering if you trade seasonally.
Profit split, payouts and scaling
High Stakes begins at an 80% split and scales up to 100%, while growth programmes start lower and rise with each scaling level. Payouts run on a bi-weekly cycle, with the first request 14 days after the funded account is activated; the cycle resets after each scale-up. Rise, crypto and bank transfer are available, and reviewers report percentage-based processing fees on most methods.
Some 2026 variants impose per-cycle payout caps, for instance $3,000 on a $50K High Stakes New account, which matters if you plan to withdraw large amounts quickly. Scaling is a core strength: High Stakes can grow to $500K and the growth programmes to a stated $4M.
Platforms, instruments and rules
CFD trading runs on MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, and some listings also mention TradingView. The symbol list is short at roughly 40 instruments, mostly forex pairs plus a few indices, metals, commodities and cryptocurrencies. Leverage reaches 1:100 on High Stakes but only 1:30 on Hyper Growth and 1:10 on Bootcamp forex.
Expert advisors and weekend holding are generally allowed, though third-party comparison sites disagree on automation rules, so check the programme page. High Stakes forbids opening or closing trades within two minutes of high-impact news, and straddling news with bracket orders, arbitrage, high-frequency trading and cross-account hedging are prohibited across all programmes. In February 2026 The5ers also began a beta futures offering on the Black Arrow platform.
Reputation and notable events
The5ers has a strong review profile, with comparison sites citing Trustpilot scores around 4.7–4.9 from tens of thousands of reviews and no reported history of withheld payouts at scale. Individual complaints usually involve rule interpretation, such as how floating profit counts toward the daily loss. In February 2024, during the MetaQuotes crackdown and after the CFTC case against My Forex Funds, the firm temporarily suspended onboarding of new US traders; it returned to the US in late 2025 with cTrader-based CFD programmes.
Who it suits
The5ers suits patient traders who want a low entry price and a credible path to scaling over many months. High Stakes fits disciplined swing and day traders who can deliver several profitable days per phase, while Bootcamp appeals to traders on a tight budget who accept strict stop-loss rules. Scalpers who want wide product lists or high leverage on one-step accounts may find other firms more flexible.
Verdict
With nearly a decade of operation, very cheap entry points and generous long-term scaling, The5ers is one of the more established prop firms. Its drawbacks are a fragmented rulebook that changed repeatedly in 2026, payout caps on some newer variants, a limited instrument list and conflicting third-party descriptions of certain rules. Always read the current terms on the official The5ers website before buying.
